The oregano we produce is grown at 1100 meters above sea level; it is here that on the spurs of the Pollino National Park we grow the Viride vulgar organic oregano, one of the most fragrant varieties, with a sweet flavor, widely used in catering and haute cuisine. We produce it in a strip of land suited to rural rurality where the roads are still uneven and the woods and pastures completely uncontaminated.
Here, oregano is in its natural habitat, cultivated according to the highest standards of naturalness. We have chosen to recover and enhance a variety of native oregano that has the greatest number of essential oils. Once harvested, in July, it is dried naturally in dry tunnels in the shade to be then processed and packaged by hand. We have chosen to offer it while keeping the flowered and dried tops just to bring an extremely fragrant oregano to the tables of consumers and in the kitchens of the chefs that is sold in vacuum-packed glass jars. With oregano leftovers….stay tuned….news coming soon.
